Welcome to Local Media Tools (https://local-media-tools.com). By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. Service Description
Local Media Tools provides browser-based media processing tools that run entirely on your device using WebAssembly (FFmpeg.wasm). Our tools include:
- Video Compress — reduce video file size without re-uploading
- Video Convert — convert between formats (MP4, WebM, MOV, AVI, and more)
- Video Trim — cut video to a specific time range
- Video Crop — adjust the frame dimensions of a video
- Video Rotate — rotate or flip a video
- Video to GIF — convert a video clip to an animated GIF
- Remove Audio — strip the audio track from a video
- Adjust Volume — increase or decrease the audio level of a video
All processing occurs locally in your browser. Your files are never uploaded to our servers and never leave your device.
2. Acceptable Use
You may use Local Media Tools for any lawful personal or commercial purpose. You agree not to:
- Process files that infringe on the intellectual property rights of others
- Use the service to create, distribute, or store illegal content
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the service
- Interfere with or disrupt the availability of the website or its infrastructure
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation in communications related to the service
You are solely responsible for the content you process using our tools.
3. Intellectual Property
You retain all rights to the media files you process through Local Media Tools. By using the service, you grant us no ownership, license, or interest in your content.
The Local Media Tools software, website design, branding, and all associated content (excluding user-provided files) are owned by Local Media Tools / EnderLLC and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the service without our prior written permission.
4. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or produce results that meet your specific requirements.
Because all processing happens in your browser, output quality and compatibility depend on your device's hardware, available memory, and browser version. We are not responsible for:
- Data loss, corruption, or unexpected output from processing
- Browser crashes or out-of-memory errors during processing
- Incompatibilities with specific file formats or codecs
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Local Media Tools shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — the service.
5. Third-Party Content
Local Media Tools displays advertisements served by Google AdSense. These ads are provided by third-party advertisers and their content is not reviewed or endorsed by us. We are not responsible for the accuracy, legality, or appropriateness of any third-party advertisements.
The website may also contain links to external websites or resources. These links are provided for convenience only. We have no control over the content or practices of third-party sites and accept no responsibility for them. Visiting external links is at your own risk.
6. Service Changes
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. This includes adding or removing tools, changing supported formats, or updating the user interface. Where reasonably practicable, we will provide advance notice of significant changes. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of that change.
